Tarka Trail

Here beside the Picnic site behind the Yacht Club wildflowers have been sown to enrich the experience for travellers and wildlife. Instow in Bloom received a donation for this work from the project team for the new mains sewer laid along the Trail in 2002. The seed was sown here – and also at the Military Camp to the North of the village - the following spring, with the work carried out by pupils from Instow Pre-School, Instow Primary and North Devon College. We were assisted in the whole process by the Northern Devon Coast and Countryside Service who manage the Trail.
