Instow in Bloom

We do provide a number of seasonal floral displays around the village. For reasons of sustainability – coastal exposure, resource use, cost – these are kept to a minimum. They are located strategically where most people gather or pass by – such as on the slipway below the Commodore Hotel where Mick Hook lands his fish – and are all maintained by volunteers. Parishioners contribute greatly to Instow’s seasonal colour by tending their own planters, their efforts being recognised in our own village floral awards (you may notice the ‘neighbourhood plaques’).
